Sled pushing and workout gear

Today I am just wanting to share one of my favorite fitness moves with you all today! I think I am having major guilt about missing my Kayla workouts this week {can read about my workout plan here}, so sharing a fitness post is helping to ease that guilt!

I hate running on the treadmill, so for my HIIT day I like to try and mix it up and this is one of my favorites.

Heidi Powell posted this move months ago and when I tried it I was blown away by how hard it was, and how easy it sounded!! It’s called Sled Pushing…

and maybe you have heard of it, but if you haven’t, you basically get on a treadmill {without turning it on}, and run as fast as you can for 30 seconds. Then rest for 60. Then again, run {kind of bent over holding on with your hands in front of you…think of when football players train and push those big things across the field…I sound so technical, huh?! Ha!}. Heidi said she does for 10 minutes, but I pretty much max out at 5 of these bad boys.

And you guys, my heart rate is THROUGH THE ROOF when I do these! Love them. Hate them. Give them a try. {would have tried to get a picture of myself or a girlfriend doing it, but due to those sick babes I haven’t seen the inside of a gym in awhile}
